This morning, I was deeply honored—and even more humbled—to deliver twelve sleeping bags to the Lakewood High School Family Resource Center. With the generous help of Gerson Navas and John Fernandez, we were able to unload and prepare them for distribution.
These sleeping bags will be available to students and families within the Lakewood District, offering not only warmth but also a reminder that someone cares.
This ministry reaches far beyond homelessness. It touches the quiet struggles within our community—the unseen battles, the silent needs, the hearts that feel forgotten. It’s about dignity, compassion, and hope. It’s about showing up for one another in the simplest, yet most profound ways.

Clinton, NC — HOGO (Hands of Grace Outreach) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Clinton Police Department to extend compassion and care to individuals in need throughout our community.
Clinton, NC — HOGO (Hands of Grace Outreach) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Clinton Police Department to extend compassion and care to individuals in need throughout our community.
Through this partnership, each patrol car will be equipped with a sleeping bag, allowing officers to immediately offer comfort and warmth when they encounter someone experiencing homelessness or hardship. As these bags are distributed, HOGO will continue to replenish the supply to ensure that officers always have a way to help in the moment.

During discussions with the department, it was confirmed that there are currently no shelters in our area. This reality highlights the importance of simple, tangible acts of kindness that can make a difference in someone’s day—and sometimes, in their life.
